MY NEW OBSESSION - ESSIE FIJI

So I finally succumbed to all the beauty blogger hype surrounding this nail varnish and purchased Essie Fiji from Amazon. I will admit it I was dubious, I honestly did not think that it could live up to my high expectations. But oh boy was I wrong.

Fiji is such a pretty colour, it is the perfect shade of milky pastel pink and when it's on my nails I can't help but be mesmerized my them. It looks really pretty with a tan but looks equally as gorgeous on pale skin.

At first I didn't like the application of this polish but second time around I actually really liked the brush, so maybe I just needed to get used to that; seeing as this is the only Essie polish I have tried.. I do find that to get the desired colour I have to apply three coats of the polish. The only main fault I have with this polish is that it tends to chip quite quickly but then again I haven't really tried it with a decent topcoat (any recommendations would be greatly appreciated).

If you are a fan of pastel polishes then I would highly recommend this little baby, in fact if you're a fan of nail polishes full stop then give Fiji a whirl. Yes it is quite pricey for a polish considering that most highstreet brands retail their polishes at under £4 but this colour is divine and is definitely a worthy investment.

This is the only Essie nail polish I own and since I was utterly impressed I will definitely be purchasing  more, so can you suggest some shades to try?

HAVE YOU TRIED FIJI? DID YOU LIKE IT? ARE YOU TEMPTED?

  5. If you want a good topcoat, I only use Seche Vite! Its so good and kind of gives a gel finish!
It can be expensive but if you get it from ebay you can get some good deals. I bought a professional kit for £20 which is the equivalent of about 7 bottles!
    Hope that helps!
