OOTD: YOU REARRANGE MY MIND.

So this is an OOTD from what feels like ages ago; well it was my 'leaving for uni meal' so it kinda was! Sorry for not being a regular blogger lately but starting university is a busy time and I've constantly got things going on at the moment (well excessive drinking and sleeping). Now I was wearing this jumper in my last OOTD post but don't judge - it's just too darn cosy!

JUMPER - Primark / SKIRT - Primark

CLUTCH - Primark / BOOTS - River Island

NAILS - Rimmel 'Pompous' / RINGS(left-right), handed down, Topshop midi rings, Miss Selfridge turquoise

BRACELETS - ASOS & Matalan / WATCH - Micheal Kors

Oh shit, just realised this entire outfit is more or less Primark! Ah well buy it cheap then dress it up nice right?

As always I hope you are all oh so very well and thanks for all the encouraging comments on my last post, all though I've been very busy I have still read and appreciated every single one! Remember you can follow me on bloglovin here if you want to stay up to date with all my posts and that! Lyrics in the post title are from Rearrange by Miles Kane!

OOTD: been wondering if your heart's still open.

So last Friday it got cold and it rained and the weather was just an all round misery guts (didn't stop a shopping trip though!) so I had to dress for the cold; something I'm not used to after having such a pleasant few months of warmth. I like A/W fashion though, I like cosy knits and tights and boots so it was quite enjoyable styling an outfit suitable for such a climate...

DRESS - Rare (via Topshop)

More or less monochrome with just a hint of raspberry hue.

CARDIGAN - Topshop (via eBay)

Ahh my cosy, cosy cardi.

BRACELETS- Matalan / WATCH - eBay

BAG - Miss Selfridge (sale)

RINGS (left-right) - vintage, Topshop midi rings, Miss Selfridge / NAILS - Queen & Country - 'Mood Swing'

SOCKS - Primark / BOOTS - River Island

Yes it's those boots again.

 CHOKER - Matalan / LIPS - L'Oreal 'Plum Passion'

TIGHTS - Primark ('handbag tights')

As always I hope you are all very well and please remember to follow me on bloglovin here if you want to stay up to date with all my posts. The lyrics in the title are from the song Do I Wanna Know by Arctic Monkeys.

OOTD: you thought the wolves would be impressed.

So I feel like I haven't posted in ages but in reality it's only been since Wednesday, I think not having my laptop at hand to scroll through blog posts has made be feel a bit out of touch with the blogging community! I thought I'd do an OOTD post because I enjoy such posts and I like documenting what I've been wearing. This OOTD features a dress I won off eBay which feels way too sweet and girly on me without grunging it up a bit...

DRESS - River Island (via eBay)

As you can see the dress is a pretty off-white floaty chiffon and lace trim affair which makes me feel like a six year old going to a birthday party until I throw on some 'tough girl' leather and clunky boots but I do like the overall look once I have styled it down.

JACKET - eBay

BRACELETS - Matalan

I know a lot of people overlook Matalan at times but seriously go and check out their accesssories and jewellery range; they stock so many Topshop dupes for so so much less!

 EARRINGS - Matalan

I really like these opulent looking earrings but they are something I wouldn't normally wear being that I am more of a mismatched studs kinda gal but I thought they added a little something-something to this outfit.

SOCKS - Asos / BOOTS - River Island (sold out)

Oh is it those boots again? I'm not even sorry for the over exposure I have given these boots in my recent OOTD posts - I just love them. I showed my dear gran them though and she did inquire if they are meant to have a huge hole in them, I don't think they were to her taste!

RINGS (left - right) - vintage, Topshop, market stall, Kukee, Topshop / NAILS - Collection 'Hula Hoop' / CHOKER - Matalan

I'm not sure about this nail colour yet, it is really pretty but I think it might be a bit too 'Barbie' for me but I will say for £1.99 it is a really good quality polish!

As always I hope you are all very well and to stay up to date with all my posts don't forget to follow me on bloglovin here! The lyrics in the post title are from the Arctic Monkeys' song The Jeweller's Hands

OOTD: five letters in my eyes.

So I fell in love with this tartan dress when I saw it on the lovely Charlie from LurchHoundLoves here and thus snapped it up immediately. If you didn't know this already then the whole Tartan thing is gonna be in this A/W so I bought this in anticipation. I love tartan because it is so very versatile, you can style it grunged up or punky or you can go clean cut preppy or heritage style. Plus since I'm 1/8th Scottish I figured I'd fly the flag of my ancestry.

CARDI - Topshop (via eBay) / DRESS - So In Fashion

This dress is only £15 from So In Fashion and there is a 10% off code for first orders! I've never used this online store before but I think I will again, the delivery time was so quick and the quality of the dress is excellent.

SATCHEL - H&M

I love the fit of the dress, on me it is a loose skater style fit and the length is just perfect for me.

SUNGLASSES - Primark / NECKLACE - Topshop (sale)

I might've kinda sorta nicked these sunnies from my dad but they suit me way more than they did him, plus they only cost him 50p from Primark so...now they're mine!

BRACELET - Miss Selfridge / WATCH - eBay

Just the usual selection of arm and hand candy.

RINGS (l-r) - Vintage, Topshop, Miss Selfridge, eBay, Kukee, Topshop / NAILS - Revlon ' Royal'

'Scuse the chipped nails but I have a habit of picking my nails when I'm bored. Navy nails look pretty cool with this dress because of the navy tones running through it.

SOCKS - Primark / BOOTS - Office

I chose these navy socks just to compliment the blue tones of this outfit and just to draw the whole thing together. Again I'm wearing my 'cowboy spur' boots but since the weather is cooler again I figured that boots are acceptable.

As always I hope you are all well and please remember to follow me on bloglovin here if you haven't already! What do you think of the tartan trend? The lyrics in the post title are taken from Swim Deep's Red Lips I Know.

OOTD: I feel stupid and contagious.

So this look was a little bit 'well this dress is too pretty just for a shopping trip so let's grunge it up' (yes that is a thing).  I bought the dress last year to wear to the races and I don't think I've worn it since but I'm glad I found a way to style it as I absolutely love floaty chiffon dresses with loose knits and ankle boots.

JUMPER - Primark / DRESS - Rare via Topshop (old)

NECKLACE - Topshop / EAARING - Kukee / LIPSTICK - L'Oreal 'Radiant Plum'

Oooh sepia.

RUCKSACK - Primark

BRACELET - Miss Selfridge / WATCH - eBay

I love this recent purchase from Miss Selfridge, it's so dainty but at the same time I think the cross gives it a bit of edge.

RINGS (l-r) - eBay, Miss Selfridge, vintage, Kukee, Topshop, Kukee / NAILS -Essie 'Fiji'

SOCKS - Primark / BOOTS - Office

These boots are still one of my favourite purchases of all time, I bought them in the Christmas sales and I feel like a cowboy in them because the buckles sound like spurs (I know i'm just too cool.)

As always I hope you are all well and if you haven't already then please follow me on bloglovin here. The lyrics in the title are taken from the Nirvana song Smells Like Teen Spirit.

OOTD: FILL MY HEAD WITH THE FUTURE.

So this is my forth OOTD from my Lake District holiday, it might look pretty dull in the photographs but it was actually intensely warm! The lake is Windermere which I believe is the largest lake in England and as it goes my favourite one just because there are so many parts and places around it. Plus if it is gorgeous weather then it feels like you're in France or something!

TOP - Primark / DENIM SHORTS - Missguided / FISHNET SHORTS - DIY / SANDALS - eBay

I think this Primark cami top is so beautiful and with the silver threading in it I think it is a perfect day-night transitional piece. With this outfit I wanted to dress down the top so I paired it with my highwaisted shorts and flat sandals. I wanted to make the whole look a bit more punk and grungy so I did a quick bit of DIY with some old fishnet tights and a pair of scissors et viola!

HEADBAND - Topshop / EARRING - Kukee / NECKLACES - Kukee / BRACELETS - Dorothy Perkins

Oh it's that hairband again. I'm not even sorry for the amount of appearances it has made in my recent OOTD's.  My jewellery is just my usual planet chain and pink quartz chain from Kukee with my Kukee skeleton hand earring (they do come as a pair but I like to mix 'n' match my earrings).

RUCKSACK - Primark

This rucksack was my £5 Primark bargain from back in April. I like to wear this rucksack as my everyday bag because it gives quite a laid back vibe to my outfits which I like.

As always I hope you are well! Oh and please don't forget to follow me on bloglovin here. If you were wondering about the title of this post it is a lyric taken from the song Taste It by the very talented Jake Bugg.

IT'S FRIDAY. I'M IN LOVE.

Welcome to my Friday favourites post about everything I have been loving this week. So I will try and do this kind of post every Friday just to let all you lovely people know what I have been loving in that week. Now notice that I said 'try' there because after all I cannot guarantee such things what with me being a natural procrastinator and all!

ON WITH THE FAVOURITES

THE SUN! Okay so I know us Brits seem to obsess over the weather but can I just say that seeing the sunshine this week has been bloody lovely. I like the summertime. I like how it feels on my skin and I love looking up to see blue skies. I like walking barefoot over hot pavements and making daisy chains. When the sun comes out there seems to be this air of childlike excitement in the air that makes everybody come alive plus ICE CREAM!

REVLON LIP BUTTER IN 'STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE'. I didn't even swatch this in the shop I just bought it because of the name (oh how naughty of me). It is a perfect everyday colour plus it has a really luxurious creamy feel

THE TRAILER FOR SKINS SERIES 7! Arghhh so fucking excited for this! I have grown up with Skins and I am sad to see it ending but it is the right time to say goodbye. The finale series has my three favourite characters in, but now all grown up and I just can't bloody wait to see what's happened to Cook (I so would), Effy and Cassie. WATCH IT HERE.

GRUNGY CLOTHES. What can I say? I love bohemian grunge style plus I am thinking of maybe doing a Spring/Summer grunge inspired lookbook post.

OREO MILKSHAKES. Oh my oh my! Oreo milkshakes taste like heaven crushed up into a blender; I cannot believe I have not made myself one before this week. Here it is in all it's delicious glory.

FANTA. I rediscovered this fizzy orange beverage in Nandos a few weeks back and it has been my cold soft drink of choice ever since.

TV-wise this week I have been loving: Mad Dogs (New series - oh yeah!), Nashville (a guilty pleasure of mine) and the finale of Revenge series 2 (ohnygod too much drama too handle). Oh and obviously Made In Chelsea (I am that obsessed my English A Level coursework revolved around this programme)

My playlist this week?
Palma Violets - 180
Misty Miller - Lonesome Cowboy
Best Coast - Summer Mood
Saint Raymond - Fall At Your Feet
Ghostpoet - Meltdown
Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored

This week I have been re-reading The Adults by Alison Espach. For me this book is just perfect and I would definitely recommend it; especially if you are a fan of books like Lolita, A Certain Age and Catcher in the Rye.  My favourite quote from The Adults? Your childhood is always ending and your adult self is always beginning.

THIS WEEK I HAVE BEEN ADDICTED TO: Online shopping! My postman brings me presents everyday. He must think I have a slight problem or something.

So what have you been loving this week?

love amy xx
